Welcome to RUNT, the ResNet USB Network Tester Please visit http://runt.mybox.org for more details INSTALLATION Unzip the file runt-5.0.zip directly onto your pen drive. You should have two folders, linux and runtutil. Files in /linux will appear mangled until the drive is mounted with umsdos. Don't worry about that now. Don't mess with them anyway. Inside the /runtutil directory, run the makeboot.bat if you are in Windows, and the makeboot.sh file if you are in Linux. This will make the pen drive bootable for systems that support USB booting. If you need to create a boot floppy, run mkfloppy.bat in windows or mkfloppy.sh in Linux. Now you should be able to boot off of the pen drive in any system that supports USB booting. If you wish to run RUNT on a system that doesn't support USB booting, please use the boot floppy that the mkfloppy script creates.
